Carl or anyone else have experience with mailing? It appears that, if we choose TN, we will need a mailing service based in TN so escapees is not possible at this time. I read somewhere that a TN mailing company folded and headaches followed for all. I didn’t look for details. Since we have a home and only part time we have a mailing address. I don’t have any knowledge about any mail forwarding service in TN. hatrack
Sculptor, The UPS Brown Store will forward you're mail for a fee. We have ours forwarded about once a month or if we are in the area we pick it up at the store. They charge between $10.00 - $30.00 if we have a lot of prescriptions with the mail. Ken.... phoenix2013
Although Florida is tough on trying to register semi as a motorhome (those who have done it were either lucky or ran into an agent asleep on the job), there are many advantages to the state. Weather is great other than an "occasional" hurricane, living is cheap (by comparison), no income tax and health care is phenomenal. I'm 76 and had a decade of "procedures" and just a bunch of things that need "attention" when the carcass is that old. Of course an insurance determines everything but once you have it the abundance of physicians, specialists and medical facilities is outstanding. Why, the state attracts a lot of folks with carcasses in a shape like mine (or worse) and second, many of them bring their fortunes rather than pissing them away in the Cuomo land or other northern socialist commonwealths. The amount of money in Florida is astounding which translates into donations to hospitals, latest equipment, latest procedures and tons of physicians with accreditations taking up wall space. Also, because there is so much influx of out of staters here year round and particularly in the winter, out of state license plates are so common that they hardly generate an "interest" (if you behave). Wholeheartedly agree here. This might require some knowledge of proper behavior, Henry. Sculptor, tongue in cheek comment. Lot's of RVs, pullers, class A,B,Cs, horse pullers, race pullers, etc., etc., state and out of state. Florida is a LAND OF RECREATION and we welcome all (1,000 outsiders move into Florida EVERY DAY). Meaning, folks in general are kind of "relaxed" here, including the authorities. They don't organize gestapo style "hunts" for RVers for tags, sales taxes, etc., I heard about in the more socialist states. If you do something that draws attention and requires a stop and they start checking, then it might get interesting. Give me a call then, around our courthouse there are several establishments advertising bail bonds services. And NO, they didn't ban cash bail in Florida yet.
