A little history of Escapee RV Parks

Thanks Kirk. Interesting article. With the growth of membership and many of us reaching an older age (and for us full timers experiencing this pandemic with no place to go) it may be the right time for Escapees to think about creating some new Co-Ops opportunities.

The last time that I had a conversation with anyone in upper management about growth, the most rapid growth was coming in the X-scapers, which are still working and generally younger members. Travis indicated some interest in something more directed to that group but it didn't sound like it was very close.

Yes X-scapers is growing but many people are also retiring or nearing retirement and with more Co-Ops available it may be an incentive to join Escapees. And older members are more likely to renew as opposed to younger who may go off the road and back into a sticks and bricks.

It's been our experience that it is older members, like us, who are going off the road as health and abilities deteriorate.

Yes Linda, many older members are going off the road due to health issues but may remain in their RV. That is why it would be good to have more Co-Ops so we older members have a place to park. Many Escapees Parks like Livingston, Congress AZ, and Golf Shores AL actually have deeded lots with a sticks and bricks house with an RV port.
