Since we are coming from the south can we go through Lake Mead Recreation Area or do we have to go around through Las Vegas? Thanks for your help. Lou Schneider Posted April 21, 2020 Report Share Posted April 21, 2020 (edited) I haven't been there recently, but according to their website all roads on the Nevada side of Lake Mead NRA are closed to vehicles, access is only open to hikers, bicycles and wheelchairs.
