There are no "Dish TV's". All TV's require a satellite receiver supplied by satellite TV service carriers for reception along with a subscription with the supplying carrier.

The Playmaker is an automatic satellite antenna. It requires specific Dish receivers and a subscription to supply service to your TV.

Thank you Dutch! I was a bit confused and looking for Dish TV. 😊

I’m wondering about the ease of setting up and if people are happy with this satellite dish.
thanks again.

The Winegard Playmaker is ok, but the Winegard Pathway X2 is a better choice for Dish service. Dish uses two sets of three satellites, one set referred to as the "western arc" and the other the "eastern arc". Both sets are available pretty much nationwide, but having the choice of sets means having more aiming options on treed campsites. The local channels can also vary as to which sets carry them, or carry them in HD versus SD. The X2 is the only automatic "dome" dish that can receive the full sets for both arcs. All of the automatic "dome" style dishes require using either a Dish Wally or VIP211 series receiver for Dish reception.
