Tipsy Print
Looking for a larger truck for that monster 5th wheel without spending $100k? This truck is a great starter truck and has a ton of potential for personal customization. Or, thinking of starting a Hot Shot business? Keep your start up costs low but have a truck that can do it all! The Good - 6 cylinder DT530 Turbo Diesel 65,000 Miles 2055 Hours 300 horsepower Allison 6 speed push button automatic with Economy setting Engine brake Air ride suspension Steel 22.5" white painted rims Beautiful Black Cherry Metallic Centramatic wheel balancers front and rear Air ride front seats Bench rear seat (not a Jack Knife bench) Air conditioning Cruise Control Tilt and Telescoping steering wheel Tinted windows Panasonic AM/FM/Cass./Weather Band stereo with 4 speakers Heated mirrors Engine Block heater Dual batteries (new) Chrome, roof mounted air horns with pull cord Fog lights Large duel side storage locking storage boxes Reese 5th wheel hitch with cover 9 Pin trailer plug Hitch catch box Heavy Duty rear trailer hitch receiver 26K GVMR Twin 50 gallon fuel tanks New LED tail lights 4 door Manual windows and locks Single axle dually Owners manuals Tires are 5 years old The Bad - Right rear door handle needs replaced. The spring broke so you can open it but it is tricky to shut. I have looked at replacing it and found it online for about $50 Driver's seat stitching has let go (see pictures) Flat bed and storage boxes are starting to rust. None of it is major and with a little TLC could be cleaned up and repainted. Left hand storage box is missing a lock tumbler. There are two locks on each box so it is still able to be locked. Dash circuit board has a weak solder and sometimes the dash instruments are dead. This happens mostly when it is cold and does come back to life. Dash button back lighting inoperative. I have external lighting on it now that plugs into the cigarette lighter. It is due a service (oil, fluids etc) We bought this rig in November of 2014 when we started our Full Timer life with our 43' Forest River Vengeance Touring toyhauler and put 13,000 miles on it over 4 years. Never had any mechanical issues (aside from what is listed above), starts up every time. Greater stopping power than 1 ton trucks and that helps save your trailer brakes! Hauls great. We have settled down, sold the trailer and ready to sell the truck. $35,000, no trades please. Clean South Dakota title in hand. Currently not registered. Located in Berthoud, Colorado Thanks for looking!
rpsinc
I have a 2001 4700LP with the same drivetrain. I like it, but dont use it near enough. Thats really all my fault. I am glad that it has the DT530/8.7L and its higher HP & torque. It works well for our 33' Teton. It has a Stalick bed and is very functional. Someone will be getting a reliable TV with alot of capability and not so much size. You should have little trouble selling as it is a good truck. And with SD title, the fees are pretty friendly. Best to you on your sale.
