antema
I have a simple question about RV water pressure pumps. I'm going to be installing a seaflow water pump, but there's just one thing I'm unsure about. I'm going to mount the pump on the wall, and am unsure on which side of the pump should be up and which should be down. I've seen them installed both ways on the internet, but which is the correct one? Should the water hose connectors be on the bottom or on the top? Darryl&Rita
The easiest way for water to get into the pump. Otherwise, orientation doesn't mater. Also, make sure the pump suction is lower than the water tank bottom, to make it easier to prime the pump. I have been wrong before, I'll probably be wrong again. 2000 Kenworth T 2000 w/N-14 and 10 speed Gen1 Autoshift, deck built by Star Fabrication 2006 smart fourtwo cdi cabriolet 2007 32.5' Fleetwood QuantumPlease e-mail us here. TXiceman
It all boils down to following the manufacturers instructions. What do they say about mounting and piping. Kirk W
The only thing that I can find on the subject from Seaflow is for the spray pump the say to mount it with the motor up to prevent water from ever enteriing the motor. oldjohnt
I like the idea of the motor being on top of the pump mechanism, makes perfect sense even without any manual. As far as the inlet and outlet orientation, I like the inlet/suction side oriented so its as close to,,,,,, and as straight as possible,,,,,,,,,,,, and as low as possible to the fresh water tank outlet. Sure, leaks can be an issue regarding mounting, but I'm not going into that. I'm less concerned with the pressure output side as its easier to force water out then suck it in lol The problem is the space available and the pumps configuration may not allow all to be what's best READ THE MANUAL do what it says over my opinion, I've been wrong before (don't tell my wife that) John T
Lance A Lott
If sound is a issue put rubber hose on both sides of the pump, make it long and coil it.
