I had the plate left over from a job and figured a little extra weight wouldn't hurt so I used it. I repair machines and build custom machinery. We do engineered metal components at the shop including stamping, machining, weld/fab and some assembly work.

It's nice to have your own machine/die shop to build what you need! 😀

Its great to see what everyone does with the resources they have at hand. He has a whole machine shop. I have a farm shop at work that I get to use. The next guy might only have a garage in his back yard. Heck I've seen pictures of guys working under a makeshift tent in the yard. They are all different. No two are alike.  However the end result is all the same. The pride of what you built. I did this. Now we get to enjoy it for years to come.

Now having said all that, my next truck with probably be put together by Jack Mayer. LOL.

Very true. I built this thing when I was 20 in my parents garage/driveway with only hand tools and a cheap 110v welder. I didn't have the resources that I have now but I was going to build it anyway. 15 years later I still have it and enjoy it.

True.  I should have said I wish I had all those tools/equipment in my shop. ;)
