But it has not been a problem if you load them centered on the cab (sideways) so they do not look like they are hanging over too much. Only you can decide if that works for you. But all of the Mercedes imported ones were over-width. So in the US, the gen1 is legal width (grey market) the gen 2 (ending in 2015) is overwidth and the Gen3 2016+ is overwidth.
