hiljoball
Planning to travel north from Yuma through Vegas and up 93 towards Twin Falls. There are very few towns. How is this route for gas stations north of Vegas - any long stretches without gas to be aware of? Thanks for any help. Darryl&Rita
Lots of open space, but we carry fuel for around 3000 miles, so I never clocked the distances. Plenty of small towns, and interstate highway crossings with fuel. I have been wrong before, I'll probably be wrong again. 2000 Kenworth T 2000 w/N-14 and 10 speed Gen1 Autoshift, deck built by Star Fabrication 2006 smart fourtwo cdi cabriolet 2007 32.5' Fleetwood QuantumPlease e-mail us here. bobsallyh
We use this route twice a year. Be filled when leaving Vegas. There is a Love's at the intersection of I-15 and US 93. Then going north, you can top off in Alamo or Ash Springs. Then on RT 318 at Lund there is a truck stop and small RV park. On to Ely, there is a new Loves but fuel and gas is much cheaper around the town. Out of Ely, the next stop can be I-80 and RT. 93. There is a Pilot and Flying J there. That will take you on in to Twin Falls. I mentioned Rt 318. Most veteran travelers get off RT. 93 and onto RT. 318 at Alamo. Using RT 318 will bring you to US RT 6. and then on into Ely. By using RT. 318 you save about 45 miles and several pulls on RT 93. You won't have any fuel problems. Excellent two lane road. If I can be of more help just PM me. rynosback
My experience is that if there is a long stretch with out fuel, you see a sign posted saying no services or fuel for xxx miles. You can always download the Gas Buddy app and check you route if you are ever concerned. 2015 Ram 3500 RC DRW CTD AISIN 410 rear 2016 Mobile Suites 38RSB3
justRich
I think there is a 100 mile stretch without fuel stations. As I recall, there is highway signage indicating that. If you fill up whenever the tank reaches half full, you will have no problems. ~Rich

Twotoes
In addition to what bobsallyh posted, heading north on I-15 from Vegas there is a Pilot/Flying J just before the intersection of Hwy 93 as well as the Loves mentioned at the intersection of I-15 and Hwy. Make sure to top off before getting on 93. Besides fuel being available at Ely and the intersection of Hwy 93 and I-80 there is fuel at Jackpot which is the border of NV and ID. There are also several Casino parking lots to stop in and one Casino has a Campground at Jackpot. The next opportunity for fuel will be in Twin Falls. I also recommend taking Rt 318 and Rt 6 rather than staying on Hwy 93 as long as there is no snow or ice on the road. 2015 Itasca Ellipse 42QD 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon Hard Rock Edition 2021 Harley Street Glide Special Fulltimer
bobsallyh
Along with what has already been posted, if going thru Needles, CA. DON'T BUY FUEL there! One of the highest places in the US.
Lou Schneider
In Needles, take the Highway 95 bridge over the Colorado river inro Arizona. About a mile north of the river is a large Arco station with prices about half of what Yuma charges. Gas and diesel.
docj
FWIW, I use a free Android app called Trucker's Path. It is quite good at locating fueling stations with truck diesel pumps and adequate space to access them. All of the fuel stops noted in the above posts were quite evident on this app. Sandie & Joel 2000 40' Beaver Patriot Thunder Princeton--425 HP/1550 ft-lbs CAT C-12 2014 Honda CR-V AWD EX-L with ReadyBrute tow bar/brake systemWiFiRanger Ambassador Follow our adventures on Facebook at Weiss Travels
