Friends reported steady incoming RV's at Oasis RV resort in Yuma.  They had a buy-one-week get-one-free deal and stayed a week.  They left for a few days and when they got back someone was parked in their site even though they left a note on the pedestal and the neighbor told the newcomer it was occupied.  They got the site back.

In the Rockport-Fulton TX area, just outside of Corpus Christi, parks appear to be busy but not full.  Small business-owner acquaintances say that business in the area remains significantly below pre-hurricane Harvey levels.

We are first timers in the lower RGV (Bentsen Palm Village).  It is pretty full but there are a few spots left.  We have driven thru several other parks and they all seem to be fairly full but each had a few sites available.

I remember reading somewhere that the ideal occupancy rate for an RV park is around 90% because if you are too high it means you turn too many potential customers away and that will have a long term negative effect on future occupancy.

this might be a bit off topic, we are in the south end of Seattle and we have a list of about 40 rv parks from Everett to Puyallup and no one has anything open that would fit us, a 40 foot triple slide toy hauler, the report we keep hearing is, 1) more people are buying and living in RV's because of the high housing cost's, and 2) more snow birds stayed over this winter than normal, this is just my 2 cents

I wonder if it may not also be at least partially that homes are in short supply, which also pushes home prices even higher? If there were houses unsold that would force their prices down, which isn't happening in most cities. That could certainly apply in a place like Dallas/Ft. Worth where home sales tend to be bidding wars. No question that RV sales are up.
