Volvo Workstation and Child Latch Car Seats

We have searched the forums and seen examples of other HDTs which have removed the lower bunks and installed Van seats or jackknife sofas to accommodate car seats.

We would very much like to retain the lower volvo workstation while having 2 forward facing car seats.

Are there examples where others have attempted to do this?

There seems to be enough space between the open area from cab to ladder. Hate to loose the workstation if we dont have to.

Photos of others with volvos would be a plus.

Thanks in advance.

Do you have some pictures of workstations?  I've only really mustered up one from Google.  My first thought... Is there any way you could do seats that rotate, kinda like the front seats on an big motorhome.

Had an old Freightliner years ago that we used for an impromptu family trip. I put 2 eyebolts through the floor between the front seats. The latch strap from the son’s car seat hooked to those just fine. He wasn’t too happy that he couldn’t see out, but it worked.

Didnt dare put the car seat in the bunk on that one, as you couldn’t be sure the bunk would stay with the rest of the truck in an accident!

We have used the workstation a total of once in the two years of owning the truck.

What is your expected main use of the work station?

With the work station down you could mount seats directly to the bench's on each side of the table, and use the table when the kids grow out of the car seats.
