Class Map

Google is going to start charging for our map. We'll probably come in under their minimum so not actually get billed but they want Dave's credit card information just in case. How much are we using the map? Do we want it badly enough to risk this?

Quite a few people have stopped using the map for one reason or another.  It's been fun and I've certainly enjoyed seeing where others might be.  However, facebook seems to be the place most are keeping up with each other if they want to be found.   I wouldn't hand them your credit card but thanks for so many years of letting us use it  -- that's using the map and not your credit card!  :)

We always tried to update our pin when we were moving. We won't be moving as much now that we've bought a house. I think many of the others stay in touch on Facebook instead of the forum. Some haven't moved their pin or posted on the forum recently either.

Travel safe everyone.

I am confused, what Google map are you talking about...........I use regular maps and mymaps. does Google have another "map"?

Linda's husband Dave created a map on Google for the 08-09 group so we could keep track of each other. Some from the Class-less group are able to use the map too.

Rv Village is a free spot where "if" you choose to close this one that another could be created. It's not nearly as private however.

I've really liked having the map but a lot of folks (like us) are settling down for long periods of time and it doesn't get used very much.  I definitely don't think we should have to pay for it. So keep your credit card unless you want to share it with me. 😁

My take on what I read in section Facebook my be mining more personal data thus less money for Google.

I do like Google Maps but not a fan of Facebook.  Clay

x2

I use Google Maps a fair amount but I have not ever done Facebook and doubt I ever will even though it means not keeping up with family and friends.
