SuiteSuccess
I have a Dometic RV two door fridge in my camper. Runs either off propane or electricity. Can I just unplug the cord from the receptacle behind the outside vent and plug into a 120 volt extension to cool overnight at storage? I don’t really want to plug in 50 amp trailer cord and throttle down to 15 amps with multiple connectors. 2006 Volvo 780 "Hoss" Volvo D12, 465hp, 1650 ft/lbs tq., ultrashift Bed Build by "JW Morgan's Custom Welding" 2017 DRV 39DBRS3 2013 Smart Passion Coupe "Itty Bitty" "Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. NeverEasy
Yes, Carl. It will work. See you in Crossville! Well, on edit, there is a 12VDC circuit. That might be required for control. It should not take much juice from the battery (ies) if you don't want to run your converter. BlueLghtning
Yeah, the control board runs on 12v so if this is going to be a setup for a bit, you probably want to make sure you keep a charger on your batteries or they will eventually get drained and the fridge will stop working. BTW, I just bought one of these adapters and a 10 gauge extension cord so I could run my rig of my Honda 2000 without always dragging out the 50amp cord and like you said using multiple adapters. This makes it so nice. You could use something like this and just make sure only the fridge and converter are on so that's all that is running. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01L2BLV9E/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Dan (Class of 2017) - 2012 Ram 3500 & 2005 Alpenlite Valhalla 29RK Contact me at rvsolarconsulting.com or Two Wheel Ramblin

jkoenig24
Just watch for voltage drop. Don't use a 16 or 14 gauge extension cord unless the run is VERY short. I bought a 10ga cord for my Super-C.

I looked at the type like Carl posted with a small cord attached, but I liked the simplicity of the one I linked and it works great.
