JV23
Looking for a product to use as a rust protectant through the winter months and something I can use as a lubricant as well. Anybody familiar with any products? I've heard great things about Boeshield T-9. (Boeshield.com) Has anybody used this before? I think that's what I'm going to give a try, first. Looking to use it on my steps and slide outs mostly. Thanks in advance!
Orvil Hazelton
I've been using this product now for several years. It was made specifically for the aerospace industry as a lubricant and anti-rust product. It is also hydro-phobic, making it a very "slick" lubricant and it therefore doesn't attract or hold dirt. It is a bit pricy if compared to products as WD40, but when used appropriately it will prove its worth. As a side use, I use it on my window sliding surfaces to make these very tight surfaces glide smoothly. All in all, T-9 gets two thumbs up from me. As always, oRV

As always, oRV I agree. for those who think original WD-40 is a lubricant, spray some on a sheet of aluminum foil, lay it in the sun for a day, then feel the dried WD-40. It is a good product for it's intended purpose, it's just not a good lubricant. Edited December 15, 2017 by Ray,IN
Ronbo
Wd40 is fish oil, actually. It is not designed as a lubricant although everyone uses it as one.

Twotoes
Stabil makes a spray on rust remover inhibitor also. Most big box hardware stores have it.
