gooddog68
On my last trip, while running AC on generator, it blew a bearing. What a noise. A local mechanic removed, fixed and replaced the generator. It runs great when started from the generator itself. But when I started it from inside the camper, it ran very rough and did not beep to let me know it was ready to turn on the AC. No other electric items come on either. He has not been able to find the problem yet. Gasoline is good, Converter appears good. Any ideas?
Kirk W
Welcome to the Escapee forums! To me it sounds like something is wrong with the connections to the remote start controls. They are just a duplicate of what is physically on the generator set and are optional to have. If they took the generator set out of the RV to work on it, they also had to have disconnected those controls. I'd only be guessing about what it is doing but I'd first try disconnecting it and reconnecting it as it should be just a plug in connection. Make sure that both male and female plugs are clean and solid. Good travelin !...............KirkFull-time 11+ years...... oscarvan
And make sure those wires didn't get pinched or damaged during the removal/replacement. gooddog68
Oscar. do you mean the romote wires to the camper or any of the other of hundreds of wires? Thanks for your input.
oscarvan
I mean the wires from the generator to the camper/remote start. If it's only from the remote that you have problems check the wiring from there to the genny. gooddog68
Well, all fixed. One problem was the air/mixture needed adjustment. To much air in line. Also fixed a couple of wire connections. Thanks everyone for your suggestions. Marcia
