My opinion for what its worth, a crude remark at best, insensitive to be sure, but most would look on it as a joke making fun of a stereotype that has some factual basis in real life. I guess I'm going to HELL for thinking such but I'll have lots of company. Howdy Glen, Many OTR truckers are from India or that part of the world, curry is a favorite spice used in many of their foods, many of these drivers cook in the truck thus the smell of curry which is a very strong spice. I am "ASSUMING" this is what was meant by the words smells like curry, as to the other remark regarding a hole in the floor; I have heard but don't know it for a fact that some drivers of other then western cultures urinate and defecate through a hole in the floor of the truck. Stereotypes of ALL sorts do usually have SOME basis in fact but are often times used as derogatory remarks or as the punch lines of jokes. "I" can only "assume" the words used in the post by SIBERNUT were used in jest, I hardly think someone would be openly racist on a forum such as this but like many things it doesn't take much to offend some folks. GlennWest
I know I picked up some stereotype remarks in my younger years and meant nothing by it. Didn't even consider it racial. I have since stopped using them. Started really considering what I was saying when I started preaching years ago. 2003 Teton Grand Freedom towed with 2006 Freightliner Century 120 across the beautiful USA welding pipe.https://photos.app.goo.gl/O32ZjgzSzgK7LAyt1
Hot Rod
I don't understand the reference either, so I guess I must not be as racist as all us white folks are presumed to be these days... my truck smells like Whataburger and Flying J burritos, not sure what that means either. God forbid (oops! religious reference) someone might tell a "certain ethnic" joke everybody harmlessly laughed at when we were all kids. Come on folks, let's just all lighten up and talk trucks. We can all agree we love the trucks.

I know over the years more problems have been solved whilst sitting around a camp fire then in most houses of government, just my opinion but I think its valid.
