From Cleveland to Hutchinson it is  15 hrs and 1,015 miles. According to Google Maps.  It will be worth the drive :)

I think you are right Tom, just don't want anybody thinking they can reserve a site, especially the newbies.

That's correct. You reserve a campsite, but not any particular one. The main thing is making sure you get it paid for through the rally to get the rally rate, and it's easier to keep track of if it's all one order.

Hi Everyone,

Is there a dead line to the registration ? When is the last date you could register ? I am still thinking about going to the Nationals. Right now, I have not looked at Google maps to see how many miles to Kansas from northeast Ohio. Or how many times I might need to spend the night on the road.

Al

Hi All,

There's no participate deadline, except for t-shirts and getting the early registration price (a difference of $8/person).  That deadline is September 1.

Obviously, the earlier the better, to make planning easier, but don't skip out just because you can't commit early.

Just to be clear for people coming the first time. The fairgrounds have herringbone parking and 50 amp full hookups. You nestle in with your neighbors. It is first come, first serve space assignments.....pick your place (except the handicap spots and those reserved for vendor show rigs).  There will be parking assistance when you roll in, unless it is at unusual hours. Rocky did it last year....

Looking forward to another great rally. We'll be there as I completed registration yesterday. Super easy. Thanks David D for getting it set up online. Nice!!!

Carl,

I thought you were running a "Visit the Stars" tour thru Beverly Hills every night for the low, low price of $5 :)

Shhh!  It's $7.50.  Inflation you know. Just don't be sitting outside in your striped boxers this year. Makes the KW ashamed ?

I have you know Vicki made me get solid colors for this year. Mostly darker colors as they hide the grease and oil stains better. :) She noticed that Roger and you did that last year and that you looked "cleaner" than I did.

We are down to just over two weeks left to get your registration in for the National HDT Rally before the price goes up on September 1st. An HDT is not required to attend. We welcome everyone. Come on out and see what it's all about. If you have never driven an HDT, this could be your chance to try it out.

Is there a posted list of the registrations that have been received, like in the past?

Hopefully this doesn't create a lot of work for anybody.

There is not a list like has been done in years past. There were some safety concerns brought up about putting out for all the world to see that you would be out of town for a week or more. Not so much for the full timers, but for those that still have sticks and bricks.

We are hoping to have a record attendance again this year, so if you haven't registered yet, now is the time.

Hi Everyone,

I am still thinking about going to the rally. It looks like St. Louis would be a little more than half way for me. If you used St. Louis as your half way point, where would you spend the night at in that area ? Or is there some place better to spend the night at ? Remember I am a rookie. No real traveling experience. Just a one man crew.

I could use all the help you can give,
Al

PS; I promise that I wouldn't back-in in the dark !

Alan,

Look at the resource camping guide.  Sounds like there is a nice campground just outside St. Louis.

http://www.hhrvcampgrounds.com/cg_MOE_lazday.php. This one on west side of St. Louis.
