Tracy Walela
I am looking at a 2007 T & C Touring van with 134000 miles on it for $8000. It's from Florida, so no rust. I plan to do a conversion. Anyone know anything about these vehicles, & what can I expect to break down on me at this age & mileage?
Biker56
With no rust you must be thinking about AZ. there is a lot of salt & humidity in the air in FL. Not even counting the sun that fog's headlights and damages paint on vehicles. beyerjf
Unless you really like front wheel drive, that chassis is not going to be able to handle a lot of extra weight involved in most conversions. Even the Chevy Express 1500/GMC Savanna isn't stout enough for the purpose, most conversions are done on the 2500 chassis. If you aren't going to do too much you might get by. They are beyond common, finding a nice one cheap shouldn't be a problem. Paul Sole
I have a 1 ton 3500 97 Chevy extended van with 65K on the engine, it already has full power everything up front including mirrors and armed captain seats on both sides with an RV bench seat behind that that opens into a bed you can have for 1200.
