imanana Posted April 21, 2017 Report Posted April 21, 2017 Be aware that acorns can be deadly to your fur babies. A fellow workamping couple just lost one of their babies from chewing and eating acorns. Turns out they contain a toxin called gallotanins that can cause lethargy, pain, vomiting, drooling and in enough quantity liver and kidney failure. For little dogs that amount is not very much. The little dog found the acorns in its outdoor yard at the RV park. WHO KNEW!!

Pat & Pete Posted April 29, 2017 Report Posted April 29, 2017 Acorn poisoning can also occur in cattle and horses . Goes around , comes around .
MountainGal Posted February 19, 2018 Report Posted February 19, 2018 This is sad, but good information to know. Thank you for sharing!
