runaway parents
Do they or can they run on shore power?
Trainer
No Sir. Webasto diesel burners run on house battery power under normal conditions, at least some 12 vdc or possibly on a Prevost bus, 24 vdc power. Never on 120 vac power. Now one can use 120 vac to power an inverter/charger to keep the house batteries charged up to power the Webasto. Hope this helps. Trainer
Nigel
If we are talking about the bunk heater, they don't draw much power. I used to leave mine on 24/7 all winter and never had a problem starting if I didn't go to work for three days. BigBus
Yes, but only thru inverter/charger which will give you 12 or 24vdc to the Webasto. That how our Prevost is wired
Jack Mayer
The Webasto's are great heaters. Makes life "good" in cold weather. When I delivered my grey 780 to Gillette, WY this winter the Webasto ran 24x7 for a week. Made the truck T Shirt weather inside when it was in the teens or lower outside.
