Hello fellow travelers. I am reaching out to you as a tremendous resource. My wife and I are currently headed to Scottsdale, AZ for medical appointment and we are currently looking for sites to stay. Not super interested in intercity sites, but would appreciate any recommendations. Thank you.

Lost Dutchman State Park in Apache Junction has some full hookup sites. Awesome surroundings and it certainly wouldn't be crowded at this time of year.

Hello pcook35,

+1 for Usery Mountain (I think that's what BarbaraOK meant) Regional Park and for Lost Dutchman State Park, we've stayed in both and liked them.

We've also stayed at McDowell Mountain RP, which is closer at North Scottsdale and, across metro Phoenix, at Leaf Verde RV Resort (a private RV park) and Buckeye Hills RP (a very nice dry camping, free park) and loved them both.

Hope that helps,

Our doctors are in Scottsdale and we stay at Westworld of Scottsdale.

Huge place, nothing fancy but 10 minutes from Mayo.

Mesa would be a fair drive to Scottsdale I think.

Thanks to all. SOOS your right on - we will be visiting the Mayo clinic in Scottsdale. I wasn't sure about traffic and drive time, so thank you for the West World recommendation. We are looking for for a park with full hook-ups for our 5th and will be wintering over at the right park for medical attention. Thank you all we are still looking. Planning on arriving in Scottsdale 10/1/2016.
