Exile Posted September 1, 2016 Report Share Posted September 1, 2016 Suite- The hose relieves the little bit of combustion gas that escapes past the piston rings. Without it, the gas would build up until parts blow off the engine like oil seals. It has no pressure or liquid in it, so take hose off, clean up surfaces, check hose clamp, check that hose isnt plugged, and put back, maybe with some oil resistant rtv sealant if you dont like leaks. There may be a sponge looking thing inside the valve cover. Clean it or change it if you can get at it. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
