Skyroam unlimited internet data?

Recommended Posts

Howdy!

Just saw a advertisement on the Internet via Facebook for a company call Skyroam. They say that for $99.00 they provide you with a hotspot that can connect you internationally with unlimited data, unknown if there is also a monthly charge. Anyone heard of this Skyroam?

Looks like $8.00 for a pass to use it. (If you buy the device) Rent the device for $9.95. Might be good for world travelers.

$99 + $8 per day ...

From their site :

It's easier than ever to get online around the world with Skyroam Hotspot. Turn it on, register once, get a 24-hour daypass, connect, and start surfing! No roaming fees, same reasonable price in all covered countries."

Goes around , comes around .

Here: http://www.skyroam.com/index.php

It connects on these bands, if there is no service on them where you are you won't get a connection:

Network bands:

HSPA+/WCDMA: 850/900/1900/2100 MHz(3G/4G)

EDGE/GPRS: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz(2G)

No coverage maps that I could find, just a list of countries that it works "somewhere" in.
