trailertraveler
Cherry Hill Park is a popular commercial RV park used to visit D.C. Greenbelt National Park is dry camping. Prince William Forest National Park has a dry campground and an RV Park. If you are eligible, there are military famcamps in the area.
bobsallyh
We always used Bull Run Regional Park out by Manassas, VA. when touring or going to ball games in D.C. as we only lived about 85 miles from D.C. There is a Metro station just up the road with parking. Remember, there is very little parking in D.C. during the week. It is a "little better" on weekends. You can waste time driving around hunting parking. The Metro is very simple to use, as it is color coded. Also remember most sightseeing buildings etc. are free.
