Ronbo
With 2 positive wires and 2 negative wires from the battery bank and the wire to the computer, it would take a lot of rewiring to run it through one switch. Easier to use the solar panels. Ron C. 2013 Dynamax Trilogy 3850 D3 2000 Kenworth T2000 Optimus Prime
maveric
With 2 positive wires and 2 negative wires from the battery bank and the wire to the computer, it would take a lot of rewiring to run it through one switch. Easier to use the solar panels. I just disconnected the 2 negative cables from the frame, and hooked them into one side of the disco switch, then made a new ground cable. Hooked it to the other side of the disco, and back to the original frame ground. Been running it this way for 3 years, with only 1 problem (bad connection at the switch). I also hardwired a battery charger (2/10a) to the battery bank. It plugs into the outlet inside the truck when hooked to shore power. I usually plug the truck into shore power the day before I need it, plug in the charger, and top off the system.
