Jack Mayer
Bill, Can you PM me bout the cost of the wiring harness please? I think that is the next step for me. Thank you , I had the engine harness done on my truck, since it was leaking, and leaking pretty bad. The leak progressed form "discover-able" to really-bad in about 800 miles. Total cost was just at $2100, including labor - and it is a fair amount of labor. I did not want to tackle it myself, in this location. Hard to stomach, but the alternative - if you let it go - is far worse. Should never need doing again, though. Bill LeMosy
Bill, Can you PM me bout the cost of the wiring harness please? I think that is the next step for me. Thank you , Replacement of the wiring harness itself was just under $1,700. Another perhaps related cost was replacement of the leaking upper timing cover gasket; that ran another $550. rdickinson
$1700 for mine also last Summer plus another 1700 for labor and other things. labor was over a day. A lot of the engine had to come off. You don't play with "Big iron" on a shoestring budget.
4Girls&aMan
I put the EZ Connector on my rig this year. I went with the 14 pin design so I could consolidate some cords. I really like it. I'll try to post some photos of what I did and link them. 2007 2L Freightliner Century Condo, 14.0L Detroit, QD 60002013 Space Craft
rdickinson
It would be nice if the pins were big enough to accommodate a big enough ire for charging the batteries from the truck also camera connection.
