Zulu
A while back a couple of folks were touting the fact that FL has EPO plans that "acted" like PPO plans when you're out of state. I just did a state-by-state check of the BlueSelect network and it looks awful . . . Many states are not even in the BlueSelect network Most states in the BlueSelect network (besides FL) have either have limited (like 1) health care entry and most of these entries are medical equipment providers and pharmacies. I could not find a single hospital or doctor outside of FL Did the BlueSelect network change?
KHenson
The Florida Blue Select network is a Florida network only. Same with the Florida Blue Options network. If someone has a Florida Blue Select or Options plan and is traveling outside of Florida he should be utilizing the Blue Card PPO/EPO network: http://provider.bcbs.com/Landing

"Blue Card PPO/EPO" isn't a choice at that url.
KHenson
At the url I gave, yes Blue Card PPO/EPO is the first option. The online plan documentation refers members to floridablue.com because that is the proper website and provider search link for their plans' networks--which are limited to Florida. But, again, when traveling outside of Florida you would search the national network instead (because at least in 2016 members can utilize that network) by clicking on the bottom left of that same link where it says Other Provider Searches--->>Doctors and Hospitals Nationally.
