In January we will start on our 20th year of fulltiming in our 1996 38' triple axle triple slide Carriage 5th wheel. Can't believe the years have flown by so fast. So many places to go, things to see & people to meet.

We did do a "redo" on our 5th wheel in 2010 and finally traded our 1996 Dodge Ram in for our 2015 Ram. We love our lifestyle and hope to have many more years ahead. Lets just hope we have a healthier 2016 that we had in 2015. Hugs, Di

Fun thread Kirk, It is much as I guessed it would come out. I am surprised at so few participants so far.

Currently part timers in a Travel Trailer over 30 ft. We go full time in November 2018 After Andi retires from the hospital ( She is a RN), (I am disabled veteran and semi retired but run a small business) When we go full time we will have a 5th wheel and Dodge Ram 3500 dually.

We both started in tents and pop ups and have had a few travel trailers as well. We enjoy looking at all the rigs no matter what kind they are.

Love looking and learning about and from other Rver's on this forum and while out on the open road.

Looks like 5th wheels are still most popular; though not by a huge margin over motor coaches. I find surveys like this quite telling and an excellent source of information for those of us going through the decision roller-coaster. While we're currently in the market for a quality used DP, every now and then, I wonder about the pro's of a 5th wheel... which, up until about a year ago, was our choice .

It would be interesting to know how many originally owned and completed their "get out and see the USA" in a class A who, after doing that and changing to more seasonal snowbird and extended stay travel, switched to a 5th wheel.

5th wheel over 35' and full time for the last 2 years. We tented for the first 35 years until we sold the S&B and got the 5'er.....although we still have our tent for those occasional back country forays.
