My thought also, unless you are looking for an area that might also be a good investment. Some of those properties can be good for a long term investment. Of course none have any guarantees but it might work for you.

It would be for about 3 times a year and we would stay at least a month.

It is just a stretcher for the dogs and us. We won't buy till we have found the ideal little home or casita in the ideal place for us....cause it will be where we want to live when we come off the road full timing. Nothing etched in stone. Just don't want to down the road need to start looking and have the prices up around our necks.

For now, I figured we could also do monthly rentals.

I think a lot of RV Parks have what is refereed to as Leased Lots. My parents had one at Lazy Palms in South Texas. Depending on the Park you may have a "permanent structure" on a lease lot, depending on the rules. A lot of the Escapee Parks have Lease Lots.

 

My parents really liked the one they had. YMWV ;)
