oscarvan
OK, why the two hitches? Could the TS be mounted over the axle and the trailer cap still have enough clearance?
fsujeeper
i purchased the truck with only the hitch over the axle. I installed the air ride hitch last year. Plans were to make a bed and remove the hitch, but we purchased a new house and the bed build got put on hold. The trailer saver mounted on top the frame would work. We used that hitch for 3 years with our raptor and had plenty of room for the cap to swing. I moved the trailer saver about 3 feet behind the axle to help with maneuvering. mark
SIBERNUT
As a comment- I don't know if he still has the trailer, but if I was gonna' have open heart surgery, it would be in there. Never find a cleaner rig.
oscarvan
Cool. Don't need a trailer. Have a Cyclone 4100. Currently pulling it with a Chevvy 3500 HD DRW DMax, looking for a better ride....

remoandiris
You mention above that you were going to install a bed. Is there enough space for a Smart car if the hitch over the axle is removed?
fsujeeper
the hitch will have to be moved back about 12 more inches for a smart to fit, and the farings will have to be removed.

fsujeeper
We moved to a waterfront house and are looking at downsizing our camping. We are weekend warriors and i have a long way to retirement. This leads to most of our trips being short.
Jmorris
I'm curious if the C13 is one of the ACERT motors (which I think has twin turbos) or is it the old single turbo engine?
fsujeeper
twin turbo
Phil D
The C13 was the ACERT successor to the C12. It's built on the same block, but with slightly larger displacement, and with, IIRC, a single cross-flow cylinder head in place of the C12's triple two-cylinder, non-crossflow heads.
