ANG0225
Will be going to Tracy CA in about a month for a job. Does anyone have any insight on good RV parks nearby? Also, what kind of sights will there be to see? Will be there plus or minus 4 months
Lou Schneider
There's an RV park a few miles southeast of Tracy on CA 132. It looked halfway decent from the road but I don't have any more information as it doesn't show up in any of the online review sites and there's just a sign saying "RV Park - Daily Weekly Monthly" out front. It's in the middle of farmland next to the Orchard Restaurant and The Country Store, just east of Highway 33 in Vernalis (about 4 miles east of I-5). Call The Country Store and/or the restauraunt and see if they can give you more info. Google Earth coordinates are 37.38.24, 121.16.27 There are several tourist oriented RV parks in the Sacramento Delta to the north. Riverport Landing in Stockton would be good first stop to scout out the area. Tiki Lagun and Windmill Cove are in the Delta west of Stockton, they're on rvparkreviews.com Tracy is pretty much just a bedroom community for the San Francisco Bay Area and is surrounded by farmland. There's not much to visit in the immediate vicinity but it's an excellent jumping off point to tour San Francisco, Sacramento, the 49er gold rush towns in the Sierra Nevada foothills, etc.
