franybill
what is the engine and transmission configuration? How old are the tires? When was it last serviced?
DDDRV
The engine is the Cummins ISL400 Turbo Diesel with Allison transmission on a Freightliner chassis with airbrakes and airbags. It also has a powerful 2-stage exhaust brake. We took it to Rocky Mountain Cummins at the beginning of July this year. At the time, the ECM was recalibrated to the newest version and the serpentine belt was replaced as a preventative measure while it was open. We have the old belt because it was in good shape, so it's a back-up now. It was checked over, but an oil change was not due yet.In December of 2014, we had Master Tech in Elkhart change the oil and filters, the genny serviced, and a complete chassis service which includes lubing the chassis. The generator was serviced on schedule in September 2015 also.We don't have solar.
