Shallow Draft
I had a message and codes spread. Also a no go until I cleared the codes. It said my transmission was out of calibration and the dreaded SM on the DIC. I cleared all the codes but forgot to write them down. It has not recocurred since and that was 1300 miles ago. Any ideas? 2004 Volvo 630, Freedomline, Rear view camera, Max Brake, Jackalopee, 38 ft 4 horse LQ Platinum, 40ft Jayco Talon toy hauler Http:/www.flickr.com/photos/shallow_draft/ Https://flic.kr/p/fqhyAN You are not lost if you don't care where you are!! Shallow Draft
I will do that. Time to check the batteries, they are 8 years old and maybe getting near the end of their life. 2004 Volvo 630, Freedomline, Rear view camera, Max Brake, Jackalopee, 38 ft 4 horse LQ Platinum, 40ft Jayco Talon toy hauler Http:/www.flickr.com/photos/shallow_draft/ Https://flic.kr/p/fqhyAN You are not lost if you don't care where you are!! Jack Mayer
Battery issues will do that. Grounds especially, as noted here and elsewhere. It is worth cleaning the battery connections, AND the connections to the starter and any shutoff or fuses you have. My battery isolation switch was pretty groddy and was causing hard starts. Make sure that the buss bar bridging between the batteries is in good shape as well. Not all of this relates to your trans issue, but worth doing yearly (or so). I just did mine because my Batteryminder trickle charger showed "bad battery" and would not complete a full charge (which it always does). A sure indication of a groddy connection OR a bad battery. Cleaning things got it back to a full charge and no faults on the charger. Jack & Danielle Mayer #60376 Lifetime Member Living on the road since 2000PLEASE no PM's.
