Sucks for us retirees but reading on down the list there are sucky changes for folks still serving and portents of more bad news for anyone considering serving.

How do we explain it to these paper pushers and politicians? You can't just cut things that were promised without the existing veterans and service members feeling betrayed and potential service members from realizing they can have any faith in what they are promised.

The issue is also that as we age we take more meds. Ron is now on several non formulary. Funny thing is that it is the only drug of its kind, he must take it and an appeal letter from our Dr so far has made no change. Guess we'd better start a savings account now to cover those costs in 10 years.

We had one doctor drop us, they got tired of fighting Tricare and Express Scripts over their rules and nonsense. New doctor isn't happy with them either but is willing to try for now. Had some nasty side effects from one of their generic knockoff drugs and couldn't get the real one to see if it would help, went to a different drug and they refused to pay for it until we submitted half a tree's worth of documentation showing I was having issues and needed to switch.

On the other hand the generic garbage gave me a nice set of boobies... Sure hope the new drug shrinks them before I need a bra!

What they are looking to do is to follow the model of Medicare, Part D as well as private insurance plans. They have all done that sort of thing for many years. And it is for the same reason, lowing costs to the provider. ;)
