Towing KIA soul 4 down

We just purchased a 2016 Kia Soul manual transmission. I would like someone who already tows a Kia Soul manual transmission/4 down tell me what position you leave the key in while towing. If on acc does the battery drain? Some say to turn the key all the way to ON position and then to the OFF position without taking the key out of the ignition and the steering will stay unlocked. The owners manual does not say anything about it. Please do not respond unless you actually are towing a Kia manual transmission 4 down.

Doesn't the drivers manual have a section on towing it 4 down?

Most drivers manuals cover that. If it can or not be towed and how.

WARNING

Side and curtain air bag
If your vehicle is equipped with side and curtain air bag, set the ignition switch to LOCK or ACC
position when the vehicle is being towed.
The side and curtain air bag may deploy when the ignitions is ON, and the rollover sensor detects the situation as a rollover.

Turn the ignition switch to ACC so the steering wheel isn’t locked

If the car is being towed with all four wheels on the ground, it can be towed only from the front.
Be sure that the transaxle is in neutral.
Be sure the steering is unlocked by placing the ignition switch in the ACC position.
A driver must be in the towed vehicle to operate the steering & brakes. :)

Just in case there is someone else out there who is questioning the procedure for towing the 2016 Kia Soul manual transmission with all wheels down, we have been towing now for the past 3 weeks with the key in the ACC position and transmission in neutral and all is doing fine. Travel for 5/6 hours per day and no trouble starting the car. We had cruise put on and it stays on all the time the car is in ACC too and still no problems.
