whatsnext
After much discussion with Larry and Mor-Ryde, we are going to raise the hitch and possibly move it back an inch or two then cut the extra length of bracket extending below to make it flush with the pin box extension arm. This will clear everything and maintain strength integrity. Thanks to everyone for your input. It was a huge help. Jim & Wilma
David, That's great to hear you have a good plan forward. Larry also called me today asking if I was having any problems. I'll be hitching up this weekend and checking everything out but my pin box is different and I expect to have plenty of clearance. I'll give it to Larry for reaching out to me, I know he has great pride in their work and wants to make it right. Jack Mayer
Call Moreryde for the specs on the pinbox, save time. Jack, could you please provide the link to your deck build file. I want to see about relocating my generator to the void behind the rear end. Thanks HERE is the link to the RV build. There you will see the genset location (for others interest.). It is behind the axles under the livingroom. And HERE are the truck bed build pictures....No genset on the truck though.... rdickinson
Thanks for the links. I took some measurements and will see if mounting the 7kw genset behind the rear end will work. There is enough room, more an issue of how to get it out for service on a slideout. This would also deaden some of the noise. It would need part of the transom of the truck to swing open or pull out and then there is all the attached wiring.
