Microsoft is downloading Windows 10 to your machine 'just in case'

Happened to me on my Windows 7 machine. Did not happen on the Windows 8.x machines since they have the wifi set to "metered".

We discontinues automatic updates a long time ago when they started screwing up computers. We now let the updates have a week or so to report problems before we decide ourselves which to update. Microsoft is also including updates that track your computer use, including key loggers, in obscure updates for Windows 7 and 8. These are forced updates in Windows 10. We have blocked them from our Windows 7. They are

On my W7 Desktop I have it set for manual updates.

And took out the KB that put the update in the task bar and one they slipped in to track W7 info in Aug.
