SuiteSuccess
I apologize in advance for the probable dumb question but are the compression sleeves (ferrules) specific to the brand of DOT fitting? I have both Parker and Eaton-Weatherhead compression fittings and I need to replace some tubing.
phoenix2013
I did not investigate it thoroughly, but some are tapered on both ends and some are not. Also the "crush" inserts are different. So I would be careful "mixing and matching".
SuiteSuccess
Thanks Phoenix. After looking all afternoon found this link which was very informative so thought I'd post it. Answers the question. Funny how so many little questions can have complicated answers. I've used compression fittings on copper tubing all my life and didn't really consider it might require a different sleeve than nylon. http://www.industrialbolt.com/downloads/FittingsBrass.pdf
