Atchafalaya Basin Bridge on I-10 in Louisiana

Recommended Posts

For those who may be traveling east bound on I-10....a road crew has one lane blocked at the far eastern end of the 20 mile bridge over the basin, creating one hell of a traffic jam...I spent 2 hours creeping along at 5 mph on Saturday afternoon...tough with a manual transmission. Then when I got to the I-12, I-10, I-59, junction, it was blocked for more road work...miles of backup and re-route.

Not a fun day...took 20 hours to go 1K miles...thankfully I hit San Antonio and Houston at the right time.
