SWharton
We have a 2015 Winnebago 36Y Gas. Question is if the power boost for the brakes is working. On our MDT we could hear the power boost work, can't hear anything on the MH. Should we? How can we ascertain that the power boost is working? The brakes seem mushy to us and we feel don't brake effectively. Is it a question of only 4 wheels braking instead of 8 like we had on the MDT+5th? Weight is lighter on the MH. Mark and Dale Bruss
Our Pace Arrow Ford chassis had hydraulic power assisted brakes. Pressure from the power steering pump added the braking action. Tht could be why you are not hearing anything. Kirk W
You do have power assist on the brakes and you won't hear anything. At least we never did in 14 years of travel with our F53 chassis. But you would notice the difference in braking if it were not working, or at least that is what a Ford mechanic told me. He said that you can stop it but you would notice the increase in needed brake pedal pressure. Good travelin !...............KirkFull-time 11+ years...... SWharton
OK. I guess we will trust that it is working as planned. Wish it would make some noise though.
Kirk W
Wish it would make some noise though. I'm sure that the Ford engineers went to some length in order to prevent the noise from reaching the driver's space. Good travelin !...............KirkFull-time 11+ years...... SWharton
Maybe I am just use to all the noises the MDT made on a regular basis. Haven't associated the MH noise level from the engine to a car yet. Enough other noises to keep me occupied though.
