SpaceNorman
An issue with the LCI (Lippert) Entry Steps made itself known this week. When retracting - the steps close completely, however the step motor stays engaged and simply "clunks" against the gear for approximately 10 "clunks" ... then shuts itself off. It is as though the system doesn't realize the steps have fully retracted. I crawled under there and don't see any sort of "mechanical" switches that appear to stop the steps. I've read the documentation that I have - and didn't see anything about adjustment. Anybody have any ideas what I should be looking for? gfstryder
I have been through 2 Lippert entry steps in less than 3 years. As far as I am concerned they are junk. I was advised by a technician at Lazy Days that problems with the motors for Lippert steps is very common. Sorry, I don't have a solution for your problem, but I finally switched to another brand of steps.
BoonHauler
Have you thought about calling Lippert on this issue? I'd have to think they'd be willing to help ..... is there an issue with warranty?
