oscarvan
Truck campers are designed to fit in a regular bed...... not sure how it would fit on the bed that truck shows..... Enough engine/rear axle for sure..... Previously a 2017 Forest River, Berkshire 38A, "The Dragonship". https://dragonship.blog/

Tee Jay
I have seen at least one TC mounted on a hauler bed. They usually have tool boxes mounted between the bed and the camper, and no visible typical chain mounts, so maybe a thru-bolt between bed and camper. LindaH
Truck campers are designed to fit in a regular bed...... There are truck campers made to fit short bed trucks. *Most* truck camper manufacturers make at least one model. Or perhaps you're talking about a camper being put on a hauler bed? Here's a picture of one (note the TorkLift tiedowns I mention in the post below): LindaH 2014 Winnebago Aspect 27K 2011 Kia Soul

On the last truck camper we owned, we used the TorkLift tiedowns: http://www.torklift.com/index.php/products/tiedowns/tie-downs I don't see why these wouldn't work on a hauler bed. hdonlybob
Other than the mounting (which would not be major issue) yes I think that would make a good hauler...based on acceptable engine and other specs.. Bob52
Thanks for the information and I'm just going to look for a short bed dually in a dodge or ford. I've never owned a Dodge truck before. I did own a CJ7 Jeep which was real bad on rusting. 2005 Host Bachelor SS Truck Camper, ultralite Aluminum Frame, Double pane windows, One Piece TPO Roof, 40 gallon fresh water, 40 gallon grey water, 30 gallons of gray water, Roof ladder, 34,000 BTU furance, 6 gallon DSI Gas Water heater, Built-in interior Entry step, Dinette Slide-out, Electric Jacks with remote, attic fan, Winterization system, all season,
