Medicare changes coming soon...

Thanks for posting.

As we get older we meet more and more people that have artificial knees. Many success stories but the horror stories sadly make a greater impression. I personally know of one individual that went in for knee replacement and a year later is still on meds to keep for the infection from the surgery at bay. During the process he had to have a couple amputations to fight the infection, starting with his foot and now is up to his hip.

A nurse I know put off having her surgery till she could find an outpatient clinic vs a hospital for her surgery. In her nursing experience the rate of infections after surgery is growing rapidly.
