Trying to lock in on Satellite 72

Recommended Posts

I have a Winegard Traveler for Dish mounted on my roof. I am travelling in New England and would like to lock in on 72.7. I know I have a clear shot because I also have a manual dish which has no problem. Also in "Multi Sat Mode" it works perfect.

I go to Manual mode on the Winegard controller and choose 72. The antenna "searches" then "peaking" then reads "identifying Sat" then "Ident:72. It then goes searching again over and over.

I called Winegard Tech Support. No help. They said to call an authorized factory trained Winegard service. They new less than me.

I would like not to have to set up the manual dish every time.

Anyone have any suggestions?

When it hits 72.5 and the receiver is getting a good signal pull the plug on the control box before it moves off it.

It happens very fast. Within a second. I will try but not too optimistic. This just should not be happening.
