Kirk W
Thanks! A great bit of history and the pictures make it look to have been far ahead in construction to some of today's RVs. I wonder what it weighed? Good travelin !...............KirkFull-time 11+ years...... Mariner
That's pretty cool. I have old pictures of my grandparents towing something similar in the late 30's. Have no idea of the manufacturer, but they were travelers right up til they became too old to do it anymore. I have a couple of their diaries from that time period, and traveling was certainly an adventure back then. There home was in the San Francisco area at that time, and they have entries in the diary of a trip they took to Mazatlan, and Acapulco, Mexico. They mention that the only way at that time to get there was by crossing the border in Texas. Now that's the adventurous spirit. they were quite a pair. Jim Corey
I believe the Nethercutt Musdum near Los Angeles (Sylmar) has the car-trailer on display. A beautiful combination. The museum is free, and an exceptional display of things automotive, musical, and so much more.
