Helipilot
Just a short note to report on Hwy 149 from Hwy 50 at Gunnison, Colorado down to Hwy 160 at South Fork then 160 to Mesa Verde RV Park at Mancos, a very nice park. The road was generally in good shape, two high passes ( 10,000 and 11,000') to cross but pulling a 36' DRV Mobile Suites with a GMC Duramax 3500 DRW made it just fine. Transmission temp did get up to 214* but came back down once we hit the summit. The road was rough coming out of Lake City up the first 11K pass but smoothed out with new blacktop on 160. A beautiful and amazing drive seeing the headwaters of the Rio Grande.
