0kartracer
99 Freightliner air ride seat goes up and down by means of switch on side of seat. It holds air but about every minute or so, it drops down. Hitting the up side of the switch, it immediately airs back up again and raises the seat until it drops down again the minute or so. What do I look for and where?
CrazyCooter
Air leak in the bag, switch, lines, fittings? I'd hit it all with soapy water and watch for bubbles. 1999 Peterbilt 385 C12 430/1650 13spd 2006 Dodge 3500 DRW 4x4 2010 Hitchhiker Champagne 36 LKRSB
porky69
Chances are the airbag is cracked and leaking. If the rest of the seat is in good condition you might be able to just replace the bag but I would take the opportunity to upgrade your seat. 0kartracer
The seat itself is pretty rough so I might just change it out! Wouldn't think the bag would hold air if it had a leak but maybe so. Just funny how it holds then drops but aura back up and holds then drops
Broncohauler
If it does not completely drain the airbag most likely it's the switch. But as the other guys stated it's a real good time to upgrade your seats.
Bob Cochran
Are they National seats? The passenger seat on mine old National there is what appeared like a check valve in the air line to the air bag. It was leaking I just removed it and problem solved. 2019 Thor Chateau 28E on a Ford E450 chassis. Maybe awhile but will get a new picture forgive one up there it is my old rig. Same question, if they are National the check valve (bladder) will leak, slowly and cause issues. It's repairable, I fixed mine and then modified them.
