Zulu
We spent a morning touring Manzanar, a former WWII Japanese internment camp, just north of Lone Pine, CA.Though sobering and very sad, definitely worth seeing.
Al F
Definitely worth visiting. Amazing what we do when we get scared and our predigests overtake common sense. Although not the same and not affecting nearly as many people, the US Senate hearings, in the early 50's about, communists in this county, stem from the similar fears. BooneDocks
We visited there a year ago. Had not realized that they rounded the people up so quickly that they had to sell their homes and businesses for pennies on the dollar if they got anything at all. Yes, a very sobering but extremely educational experience. http://boonedocksllc.blogspot.com/2014/05/manzanar.html?m=
