We stayed at La Hacienda from April into early June of 2014. The Bus'n Bikers were having a rally there the first week or so we were there. They drive long motorhomes towing large stacker trailers for their bikes and cars (many with very beautiful matching paint jobs; we're talking mostly Prevost buses!). I remember the pull-throughs were generally long enough they didn't need to disconnect. We were in a back-in for our fifth; had plenty of room. We found it to be a very nice campground with a nice layout; everything was very well kept up. It's about 30-40 minutes to get downtown, depending on traffic. The lake in the Colorado River that creates the peninsula where La Hacienda is (Hudson Bend) was extremely low due to the drought, but perhaps has come up some now. Still there was boating there, including charter "party boats". Walking the roads of the peninsula was feasible, though little to no shoulder and mostly no sidewalks. There's not a lot as far as restaurants or things to do close to La Hacienda, but there is a shopping center to the south on 620 in Bee Cave.
