RV leak detection system installed

Recommended Posts

This is a trailer:

I have just finished my leak detection system. (I had a flood recently). I managed to install detectors under where my city water comes in, my fresh water, under all the mess of plumbing below the kitchen counter, the toilet area, under the hot water heater, the bath sink, the shower, & in the outdoor kitchen, 10 in all. Water hitting any location will shut off the pump and set off an alarm. I have a switch to bypass the alarm if it does go off and also shut down the detector once the issue is fixed in case the sensors are not quite dry, so i can run the pump. That will turn on a bright warning light so I do not forget its disabled (second photo below). The 3rd photo is one of the detectors.

I also installed a non locking push button in the bathroom so i can flush the toilet & use the sink momentarily without turning the pump on. That is designed for roadside pee breaks. Like the one that caused my flood.
